Daimler-Chrysler award for South African architects.

Chosen from over 3000 entrants from 118 countries from around the world Eco Design - Architects & Consultants went to Bangkok as one of the 15 finalists of the Global Holcim Award for Sustainable Construction.

Regional Holcim Award for Sustainable Construction

900 companies from around the globe entered the Holcim Awards for Sustainable Construction. Entries had to be conceptual - no built submissions would be accepted.
Eco Design Architects entered their designs for the Nieuwoudtville Caravan Site and took silver in the Africa and Middle East Region.

REGIONAL SUSTAINABLE BUILDING BEST PRACTICE AWARD
- 2004
21st of September - A Green Building Challenge was held as part of the 2004 Africa Regional Sustainable Building Conference held at Spier, Stellenbosch and organised by the CSIR. Entrants had to prepare a presentation explaining their project. Projects had to be rated according to a matrix of 15 categories that was developed by the CSIR.

Qualified to compete in the Green Building Challenge at the World Sustainable Building Conference in Tokyo, Japan in 2005.

NORAD GRANT
- 2002
21-27th September 2002 - Awarded a Norad Grant to attend the "International Sustainable Conference" in Oslo, Norway
