Keynote address “Beyond Sustainability - Regenerative Design and the Transition Towards Post Carbon Architecture” in Celaya, Mexico at the 3rd International Congress on Sustainable Urbanism.

Presented a talk “Natural Building & Appropriate Technology: Combining the Best of both Old and New Technology while Designing & Constructing Buildings” at the Smart build conference, in Cape Town.

Gave a talk on “Natural Building & Empowering Local Communities – Opportunities for Economic, Ecological & Social Regeneration in South Africa” At a National Public Works Architecture Seminar, in Cape Town.

Presented a paper on Practicing Environmentally Responsible Timber Sourcing & Timber Treatment at the 2nd HWZ international Timber Conference in Cape Town.

Presented a talk “Environmental Design – Opportunities for economic, ecological & social regeneration in South Africa” at the SA Tourism Grading Council’s Assessors and Graders Annual Conference.

Gave lecture on "Cob Construction - a South Africa Story" at the McGreggor Centre for Appropriate Technology’s Cob Convergence.

Presented a talk and facilitated a panel discussion on "Alternative Construction" at the Green Building Conference & Exhibition 20-22 Sept 2008, at Voda-World, JHB.

Presented "An Architecture of Process" – to members of the public and 2nd year students at Cape Peninsular University of Technology.

Presented 2 lectures on "Design for the Future" a manifesto for green architecture, 6 broad principles for a greener approach to architecture, at the Hoedspruit Sustainability Festival.

Presented a lecture & discussion forum on "Sustainable Design and Construction" at the Building & Finishings expo, City of Cape Town’s Energy Seminar, at the Bellville Velodrome, Cape Town.

Presented lecture on "The State of Architecture in South Africa" along with 2 other Daimler Chrysler Award for SA Architecture, Cape Town Nominees, at the Iziko SA National Museum, Cape Town.

A Manifesto for Green Architecture – 6 broad Principles for a Greener Approach to architecture – Cambridge Dendrite Seminars at the BP Building V&A Waterfront, Cape Town.

Presented a lecture on "Natural Building – Solutions for a Sustainable Built Environment & Community Upliftment" at the 2007 Green Building Southern Africa Conference.

Presented a talk on "Natural Building as a Means of Supporting Community Upliftment & Environmental Sustainability" at the “Innovation to Implementation” – Workshop organized by the South African Housing Foundation in association with the Department of local Government & Housing at the Cape Sun, Strand Street, CPT.

Presented a lecture on "Introduction to Ecological Design" at the Somerset West Council chambers to The City of Cape Town Building officials as part of The City of Cape Town's initiative to develop Green Building Guidelines.

Lecture given on "Practicing Green architecture - An exploration of the six broad principals of ecological design" to the Kwa-Zulu Natal Institute of Architects in Durban.

Part-time Lecture at the Architectural Department at the University of Cape Town, for 1st year students as a visiting lecturing, Environment 1 course - Sustainable Construction and Design.

Lecture given on 6 Broad Principles For Green Design at the Cob Convergence at the McGregor Centre for Alternative Technology.

Part-time Lecture post at the Architectural Department at the University of Cape Town, for 2nd year students lecturing the
Environment 3 course - Sustainable Construction and Design.
