OR Tambo Narrative Centre

The OR Tambo Narrative and Environmental Centre near Benoni, in Johannesburg is a R45 million project for the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality. The brief comprises: OR Tambo Narrative Centre, Environmental Centre, Multi-Purpose Arts & Crafts workshops, Outdoor Amphitheater & Caretaker's cottage/ Show House. We were brought on board rather belatedly as the Green Consultants to assist & consult to the project team in their objective of making this an exemplary green building.

The project incorporates Rammed earth, adobe, straw bale, lime dung plasters, non toxic paints and finishes, urbanite & stone work, earth floors, planted roofs, rainwater harvesting and biogas sewage treatment.
