This paper was first published and presented in a keynote address at a conference on “Sustainability in the Built Environment – A Practical Approach” – hosted at the MTN Sundome in Johannesburg in August of 1998, which was the first of a series of similar such conferences.
This document forms the theoretical basis of our practice. It details the six broad principles for green design, why they are necessary and what measures can be taken to implement them. Recommended for homeowners, builders, architects, designers, government officials and academics.
The document includes hand drawn illustrations to indicate what needs to be done to convert a conventional house to a green house. (33 A4 pages)
