Mud Gallery
Art Gallery & Restaurant
“Architecture is a visual art, and the buildings speak for themselves.”
- Julia Morgan
The Mud Gallery for Carol Morris in Barrydale on the R62, South Western Cape.
Slate stone taken from the site with a lime stabilized earthen mortar and earth lime plaster were used to create the Mud Gallery in Barrydale. Three brickwork domes supported on arches create the entrance space while supporting a viewing deck above, which is accessed from the internal courtyard.
Moon Phase harvested timber poles were incorporated into the roof trusses.
Eco Design - Architects & Consultants offer Consulting services for dome structures as well as sub - contracting service.
